Job Description
Our client is a Vietnamese company, now looking for a Process Engineer (Mechanical Machining, 800 USD, ID 18007):
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess production feasibility for new products.
- Participate in DFM reviews to ensure optimized design for machining processes.
- Define and develop manufacturing processes for new products, including machine selection, process routing, tooling, and fixtures.
- Plan and coordinate trial builds such as pilot runs, sample approvals, and PPAP submissions.
- Prepare technical documentation: process flow charts, work instructions (WI), SOPs, and inspection guidelines.
- Develop detailed machining process plans, specifying equipment, tools, cycle times, and manpower requirements.
- Standardize process parameters, workstation layouts, and quality control forms.
- Monitor and analyze process performance indicators (cycle time, output, defect ratio) to identify opportunities for improvement.
- Optimize workstation layout, operator motions, and machine settings to boost productivity and efficiency.
- Provide technical support to resolve machining-related issues during daily production, such as dimensional deviations, process instability, or equipment malfunctions.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective & preventive actions.
- Track and evaluate key production metrics, including OEE, cycle time, and defect rates.
- Train line leaders and operators on machining processes, standard operating methods, and best practices.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality, reduce manufacturing costs, and increase overall efficiency.
Requirement
- Male; Under 40 years old.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 3-4 years in a similar role within mechanical machining or manufacturing.
- Able to read technical documents in English.
