Job Description
We are seeking a Head of Vietnamese Studies to lead and ensure the quality implementation of the Vietnamese curriculum in the Integrated Programme:
- Establish and uphold high standards for academic achievement and student behavior across Integrated classes.
- Oversee daily operations of Vietnamese classes, ensuring effective procedures in coordination with the School Principal.
- Support the school’s vision, values, and unified culture across departments.
- Ensure the Vietnamese curriculum complies with MOET and DOET policies and inform the Principal of any updates or issues.
- Supervise and evaluate the instructional quality of the Vietnamese programme, including lesson planning and classroom teaching.
- Promote the use of diverse and effective teaching strategies aligned with the school’s values.
- Provide ongoing support and supervision to Vietnamese teaching staff and report performance concerns to the Principal.
- Maintain accurate records and systems required by MOET/DOET.
- Represent the school during MOET/DOET inspections and provide accurate reports in coordination with the Principal and Management.
- Ensure effective implementation and documentation of school-wide policies and procedures.
- Participate in and support school events, initiatives, and activities.
- Maintain professional and respectful communication with students, parents, and staff; handle enquiries and concerns in consultation with the Principal.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct and professional integrity at all times.
- Act as a substitute teacher when the Vietnamese homeroom teacher is absent.
Requirement
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education.
- 3-5 experience in educational management and a thorough understanding of the Vietnamese Education Programme.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Commitment to high ethical and professional standards in education.
