Food & Beverage Manager

Job description

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of the F & B department’s day-to-day operations and its overall performance.

Your responsibilities include:

• Conceptualising, developing and implementing strategic plans for the F&B outlets
• Supervising and managing a team of service staff - with a goal of achieving the highest level of service, hygiene and safety standards as well as food quality, its variety and presentation
• Conducting orientation and regular on-the-job training (OJT) / department meetings to ensure staff are well-trained and briefed to execute their daily tasks
• Work closely with the contracted caterers to drive regular F&B promotions, introduce new menus and activities for the day-to-day operations
• Expand the Club’s business of seminar and function catering
• Attend to customers’ feedback and handle it promptly and effectively
• Constantly review the work processes and take prompt and appropriate measures to improve product and service excellence
• Managing the department’s annual F&B budget and its monthly P&L results
• Administration of all necessary paperwork and submission of monthly management reports on time.

Job requirement

• Diploma in Food & Beverage Operations/Hospitality Management or its equivalent
• At least 5 years’ good track record in a similar capacity preferably in a Club/Hotel environment
• Strong customer service and people management skills with a hands-on approach to work
• A team player with strong leadership qualities and an ability to train, motivate and lead a team
• Highly dependable, committed and with a strong passion in F&B
• Excellent communication, PR and listening skills
• Proficient in MS Office 2007
