Job description

• Oversee all aspects of software product development, software maintenance and technical support.
• Responsible for technical department’s performance metrics, implementation plans and programmes to achieve company’s overall KPIs.
• Plan and establish guidelines for effective management and operations.
• Track improvements progress and to monitor performance towards Company’s overall business plan.
• Provide technical consultancy and support to the respective departments for company’s product and projects.
• Report and feedback to the Board of Directors for company’s status/development.
• Provide training and coaching to staff.
• To understand customers/operators requirements and technology trends and work with the technical and sales teams to deliver solutions.
• Establish and supervise the software development process, setting short-term objectives and assessing progress as defined by the selected software development methodology.
• Conduct code reviews and specification conformance testing as defined by the selected software development methodology.
• Establish and supervise a quality assurance process, including integration and system testing.
• Select, deploy, and monitor performance profiling tools and procedures.
• Review and approve proposed development releases and manage the release process.
• Establish an application deployment process and supervise deployment to staging and production servers.
• Monitor application performance and review any application failures in staging or production.
• Develop, track, and control the development and deployment annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, and operations.
• Supervise recruitment, training, retention, and organisation of all development staff in accordance with the company hiring process, personnel policies, and budget requirements.
• Establish standards of performance and monitor conformance for staff (through performance review) and vendors (through service level agreements).

1. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
2. Required skill(s): JAVA, Symbian, Google Android.
3. Required language(s): English
4. At least 12 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial position.
5. Preferably Senior Managers specializing in Corporate Strategy/Top Management or equivalent. Job role in Chief Technology Officer (CTO) or equivalent.
6. Mature, performance driven, good interpersonal skills and analytical ability with strong desire for success.
7. Ability to work under pressure and resolve challenges effectively.
8. Self-motivated, self-starter and a good team player.
9. Familiarity with Windows Mobile, RIM Blackberry and iPhone Application Development.
10. Familiarity with information security vulnerabilities and risk management.
11. Familiarity with encryption and security technology.
